Principal/Vice-Principal Application Requirements

For Administrative Officer positions, the requirements for applicatons are the same for current employees and new applicants.

Your Application Package must include:

Cover Letter

  • include a demonstrated readiness for the position

Qualifications and Experience

  • state years of teaching experience and specific assignments
  • state years of administrative experience and specific assignments
  • Resume
  • include professional development activities and professional leadership accomplishments within the past three years
  • Philosophy Statement
  • your basic philosophy of education and school leadership (please limit to one page)
  • Copy of most recent Evaluation Performance Report
  • Copies of post secondary transcripts and applicable certificates, diplomas and degrees
  • Proof of current membership in the BC College of Teachers (include copy of certificate)
  • Copy of Teacher Qualification Service salary category card
  • List of three professional references
  • include signed authorization for the District to contact references in confidence in addition to those provided and authorize those contacted to release information to the District
