Position:	French Immersion Teacher
Assignment:	Grades 5/6 (admin relief)
FTE:	.4 FTE Temporary
Location:	École Baker Elementary
Effective Dates:	Commencing Sep 1, 2005 and terminating Jun 30, 2006

Basic Qualifications:

The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC College of Teachers AND possesses one or more of the following:

Training Specialization:	Elementary Education with specialization in French Immersion - Intermediate level grades
Related Teaching Experience:	recent successful experience teaching at the Intermediate level in French Immersion
A Reasonable Expectation:	based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff
Additional Qualifications:	fluency in English/French - oral/written - applicant must be willing to take a language proficiency test - oral and written.
Other:	willingness to work in a dual track environment willingness to support the School Growth Plan This is a job sharing position with the Vice-Principal.  The successful applicant must share compatible educational philosophy and methodologies.  The Principal will affirm that the teacher understands and agrees that the school's needs will be fully met (i.e. attendance at staff meetings and professional development activities, report card preparation, availability at teacher/parent interviews etc.).  The work schedule for this assignment will depend upon the needs of the school and will be confirmed by the School Principal.
