Extension of Nomination Period

Issued on September 9, 2022 for immediate release

The nomination period to receive nominations for the offices of 7 (Seven) Schools Trustees to be elected at large has been extended to Monday September 12, 2022 at 4:00 pm

Interested persons can obtain nomination forms at School District No. 28 (Quesnel), 401 North Star Road during regular business hours.

Original nomination forms must be returned to Jennifer Woollends, Chief Election Officer by 4:00 pm on Monday September 12.

District Principal of Aboriginal Education

The Quesnel School District is pleased to announce that Ms. Doreen L’Hirondelle has been appointed as District Principal of Aboriginal Education effective September 14, 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary and a Master of Education Degree through the University of Portland, Oregon.


School Trustee Candidate Information Session

School District No. 28 (Quesnel) will be hosting a candidate information session for anyone interested in running as a school trustee in the 2022 General School Election. If you are interested in becoming a School Trustee and would like to learn more about the roles, responsibilities and time commitments, the information session will be held on:

School Trustee Elections are Coming Up

Elections for School Trustees will be happening this fall. The Quesnel School District has unique needs and educational requirements for its 3000 students and 15 schools. School trustees are locally-elected representatives that understand their community’s strengths, challenges and needs. Trustees can help to foster a School District that reflects local priorities by guiding the district work.
