Principal Appointments

The Quesnel School District is pleased to announce the following appointments:
District Vice-Principal of Early Learning and Child Care
Ms. Jolene King has been appointed as District Vice-Principal of Early Learning and Child Care effective September 12, 2022. Ms. King is currently the Principal at Voyageur Elementary School and was previously the Vice-Principal of that school. She has also worked as the acting Principal at both McNaughton Centre and Carson Elementary School. Ms. King holds a Bachelor of Education degree and a Master of Educational Leadership Degree.
The District Vice-Principal of Early Learning and Child Care is a newly created position.
Principal – Voyageur Elementary School
Mr. Grant Colegate has been appointed as Principal of Voyageur Elementary School effective September 12, 2022. Mr. Colegate is currently the Vice-Principal of Voyageur Elementary and prior to that worked as a teacher in other school districts. Mr. Colegate holds a Bachelor of Education degree, a Master of English Literature degree and a Master of Educational Leadership Degree.
Mr. Colegate will be replacing Ms. Jolene King who has been appointed as District Vice-Principal of Early Learning and Child Care
